FAQ’s

If you are having problems with our site, or want to know how we operate, please view the frequently asked questions below. If you have any other questions, please contact us

How do I order parts?

As we do not currently offer an online ordering facility, please contact us with a list of the parts you require, using original part numbers wherever possible. We can then reply with the price and availability of the items. You can then choose to order the parts by providing your payment details.

I do not know the part numbers, what can I do?

We recommend using original parts books as we still operate with original parts numbers. We can then eliminate any confusion as to which parts you require. It also avoids long winded descriptions. We have a wide range ofparts illustration manuals available. These give you an exploded view of the exact parts and quantities needed for your restoration.

Which method of payment can I use?

We accept all major credit and debit cards apart from American Express. We also accept PayPal payments. UK residents can also pay by cheque. Bank transfers are also accepted but charges must also be paid for this service.

None of the items have prices! Where are they?

We currently have a price list in PDF format, click on “catalogue” to the left of the top menu bar. This will then give you three different catalogues. Choose the appropriate one and click on the binocular button to search using original part numbers.

The part numbers in my parts book do not look like yours, why is that?

Pre 1973 machines used a different numbering system. Please use theTriumph Part number conversion notes to convert your numbers to the new ones.

How long will I have to wait for my items?

Smaller orders are usually despatched on the day of ordering if ordered in the morning. Larger orders can take longer depending on availability of items.

Postage varies depending on your location and the service used.

How do you send items?

We use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for UK parcels. Anything over 2kg is generally sent via a 48 hour service using Parcelforce. Smaller items are sent using standard small packets. Royal mail’s “Special Delivery” service is used for items which are under 2kg and of value.

All of our International parcels are sent using Parcelforce Worldwide. We do not send any surface mail packages. Standard airmail and Global Priority are used mainly and will be offered on all orders over 2kg. We recommend more valuable items are sent Global Priority with extra insurance.

How can I find the parts I need?

It is possible to view a small range of our stocks on our website using the categories on the left hand side of this page. However, this is only a very small sample of our stocks. These pages also do not show prices.

It is best to search our catalogues using original part numbers. If searching the BSA, Triumph and Norton list all part numbers should be in the following format: xx-xxxx Therefore 19-1 would become 19-0001 and 2-128 would become 02-0128. Norton numbers should also be in the same format. eg 06-2179

Royal Enfield numbers are searched using original standard numbers.

Amal numbers are as original, eg 626/300

I still cannot find the part I need, what can I do?

Please contact us with your requirement, it may be that we can help find a second hand part for you. Our second hand stocks are not computerized and so you will not find them. There also may be an alternative part which can be fitted.

Are all of your parts new or second hand?

We have a wide range of Genuine New Old Stock parts as well as reproduction parts. When we quote you, unless we state “second hand” all of our parts are new items.

What are the codes next to each product on your reply email?

Sometimes we add the bin number location to the quote to make it easier should you order. Please ignore these numbers.
